Winter is back once more. Why not step up your nail art with some fashionable, seasonal patterns? This season, wearing blue winter nails is one of my favorite choices.
Whether you prefer a classic, understated look or something more bold and eye-catching, blue winter nails offer something for everyone.
I like to switch up in between a glossy finish or a matte look, add some sparkle with glitter or rhinestones, or even incorporate snowflake or sweater patterns for a festive touch.

Snowflake and Frozen Inspired Nails
One of the most popular winter nail designs is snowflake and frozen inspired nails. This can be easily achieved using blue nail polish and white nail art pens. Sometimes a small snowflake on the edge of a nail is enough for me, sometimes I want one on each nail. For a more frozen-inspired look, you can add some glitter or shimmery silver nail polish to your blue base.
Blue Ombre and Polka Dot Nails
Blue ombre and polka dot nails are another popular winter nail design. You can create a stunning ombre effect by blending different shades of blue nail polish. For a more playful look, you can add polka dots to your blue ombre nails using a white nail art pen.
Sparkle and Glitter Nails
As you can see from above inspirations, I love sparkle and glitter. You can create a stunning winter wonderland nail design by adding some glitter or shimmery silver nail polish to your blue base. For a more dramatic look, you can add some rhinestones or metallic nail polish to your nails.
The opposite of this is probably matte nails, which I also like. By the way, I love to wear matte nails for Christmas.
Winter Nail Polish Brands
There are a few Nail Polish Brands that stand out for their quality, longevity, and range of colors. As someone who has tried and tested various nail polish brands, I can confidently recommend the following:
Essie Nail Polish
Essie is a popular and reliable brand that offers a wide range of winter shades. Their polishes are known for their smooth application and long-lasting formula. Some of my favorite Essie winter shades include “Jingle Belle,” a holographic silver shade, and “Bordeaux,” a classic deep red wine shade. Essie nail polishes are also affordable, with most shades priced at around $10.
OPI Nail Polish
OPI is another well-known brand that also offers a variety of winter shades. Their polishes are known for their high-quality formula and vibrant colors. OPI also offers a range of finishes, including matte and glitter. Some of my favorite OPI winter shades include “Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees,” a dark slate gray shade, and “Lincoln Park After Dark,” a deep purple shade. OPI nail polishes are slightly more expensive than Essie, with most shades priced at around $13.
Zoya Nail Polish
Zoya is a vegan and cruelty-free nail polish brand. Their polishes are known for their long-lasting formula and high-quality pigments. Zoya also offers a range of finishes, including matte and metallic. Some of my favorite Zoya winter shades include “Charla,” a color-changing polish with green and blue sparkles, and “Nori,” a deep navy blue shade. Most of their shades are priced at around $12.
